Math Paths: HomeNavigating the K-8 Common Core State Standards
| This site is for parents, teachers, tutors, and other educators to see at-a-glance how to navigate the new Common Core State Standards (CCSS) for primary, intermediate, and middle-school mathematics. Domains (strands) are color-coded for ease in finding similar content across elementary grades K-8. The chart below shows all CCSS Cluster Overview Statements by domain and grade level, along with content codes, explained at the right of the chart.
To aid in navigating the standards, this website lists two to nine problem types for each cluster, with about 50 to 60 per grade level. Problem types are often equivalent to familiar lesson or unit objectives. (See samples by moving the cursor over the graphic.) To see all problem types, choose any grade level from the menu at the left. |

| If a cluster in CCSS requires more than nine problem types, the cluster on this website has been divided into two parts and each part is marked with an asterisk. This allows each problem type to be identified with a 4-character code, consisting of the cluster code and the problem-type number. These codes are helpful for tracking students' progress. | |||||
